Our Pool Construction Process, Step by Step
From the first conversation to the day you swim for the first time, here is exactly what happens and who's doing it.
Schedule Your Private ConsultationFive Stages, One Point of Contact
Design and build stay under one roof, so nothing gets lost between the sketch and the shovel.
Consultation
We start at your home or our Lantana showroom — understanding how you want to live in your backyard, your style, your budget, and the details that matter most to you.

Design & Proposal
Measurements, material and equipment selections, and a concept design — for a project still in progress, that's often a 3D rendering, so you can see the pool before we break ground. You leave with an itemized proposal, not a rough estimate.

Permitting
We file with your city's building department and, where you're in a gated community, work your architectural review board approval at the same time rather than one after the other. How long this takes depends on where you live — it isn't a schedule we control.
Our permitting team
Construction
Ten scheduled phases from excavation to fire-up, typically 10 to 14 weeks once permitting is complete. Each phase needs a passed inspection before the next begins, and you always know which one you're in.

Final Walkthrough & Handover
We walk the finished pool together, go over your warranty documentation and equipment, and hand you the keys to your first swim.

What Happens in Each of the Ten Construction Phases
This is the same walkthrough every Liquid Luxe client gets on-site — what happens in each phase, and what we do to make sure it's done right.
Excavation
The pool shape is dug out and the soil hauled off site.
Supervised from the first cut, checked against your plan.
Steel Work
A steel rebar cage is tied in place to reinforce the shell.
Tied by hand. We inspect it before the county does.
Plumbing & Bonding
Plumbing lines, main drains and the bonding grid go in.
Pressure-tested and held under pressure through the gunite.
Gunite
The concrete shell is sprayed and shaped to form your pool.
Steps, benches and every radius carved by hand.
Backfill
Soil is placed back around the cured shell.
Compacted in lifts, so your deck will not settle and crack.
Tile & Coping
Waterline tile and coping stones are set along the edge.
Same crew every job. Straight lines, tight joints.
Deck
The deck is formed and laid around the pool.
Sloped to drain away from the pool and the house.
Equipment
Pumps, filters, heater and automation are installed.
Jandy equipment, 3-year parts and labor warranty.
Plaster Finish
The interior finish is applied to seal the surface.
One continuous pass, then filled right away to cure evenly.
Fire-Up
We fill the pool, start the system and balance the water.
Pool school at handover, then weekly service for life.
