Liquid Luxe
Custom Pool Design & Build

A pool designed around your home — not picked from a catalog.

Liquid Luxe has quoted 162 projects across five South Florida cities — Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and Palm Beach Gardens in Palm Beach County, and Parkland in Broward — from a $1,100 resurface to a $266,000 custom build. Every one of them started the same way: with your backyard, not a shape on a list.

The Design Process

How does a Liquid Luxe pool actually get designed?

Most pool companies start with a shape. We start with a conversation — how you want to use the space, who's in the backyard on a Sunday afternoon, what the house already tells us about scale and materials. That conversation becomes a concept design specific to your lot, not a template with your address typed in. Only once that design is right do we move it into engineering.

Design Decisions

What do we decide together, before anything is built?

Shape and geometry, first — whether that's a clean geometric form, a freeform design, or an infinity edge where the lot allows it. Then finish and color, deck material, and where the light lives: waterline tile, LED placement, and how the pool reads at night, not just during the day. Every one of those decisions is made against your home's own architecture, so the finished pool looks like it was always meant to be there.

One Team, Start to Finish

Who handles the engineering and the permit?

We do — under the same roof as the design and the construction. Structural engineering, the permit application, and every inspection along the way are part of the project from day one. You're not the one coordinating between a designer, an engineer, and a separate builder. See what permitting looks like in your city.

Investment

What does a new custom pool actually cost?

Across our five cities, 38 of the 113 pool projects we've classified were new construction, not renovations. Here's the median new-construction budget in each city, from projects we've quoted:

CityMedian new-construction budgetNew builds quoted
Boca Raton$99,88626
Delray Beach$95,0043
Boynton Beach$84,2805
Palm Beach Gardens$102,0003
Parkland$127,0301

These are quoted project budgets, not final contract prices — every number is confirmed against the actual proposal, not an average pulled from a national blog post. Where a city has only one or a few new builds quoted, read the median as a single data point, not a market rate. See the full cost guide, including renovation budgets.

FAQ

Questions about custom pool design & build

A package pool starts from a fixed shape and a set list of options. A custom pool starts from your property and how you actually want to use it — the shape, the finish, the lighting, and how it meets the house are all designed for that specific backyard, not picked from a catalog.

Across the 162 projects we've quoted in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, and Parkland, budgets range from about $1,100 for a small resurface to $266,000 for a full custom build. New construction specifically runs higher — see our cost guide for the median by city.

We handle both under the same roof as the design and the build. Structural engineering, the permit application, and the inspection sequence are part of the project from day one — you're not coordinating between separate companies.

Design and permitting happen first, and that timeline varies by city. Once we break ground, construction itself takes approximately 10 to 14 weeks across ten scheduled phases — see our full construction timeline for what happens in each one.
